About

Hello!

We are a motley crew of six who left a lovely life in the city for an adventure in the country. We’re cityfolk by nature, and nature folk at heart. Knowing we’d make mistakes and likely provide ample material for a good chuckle from our country neighbours (“oh, those city folk”) we figured we might as well laugh at ourselves as well – hence the name, Cityfolk Farm.

We’ve taken root in this place and want to share it with you – we do this through farmstays (Where the Sidewalk Ends), Awaken Herb Farm, Take Root Festival, Rise Up Herb Gathering, and other events.

We gather on the land stewarded by our family, with deep respect for the Indigenous people, farmers and land tenders who cared for this land before us here on Treaty 1 – the land of the Anishanaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the National Homeland of the Red River Metis.
